Fraport Brasil clarifies that the information circulating in the press about a reopening date for Porto Alegre airport is incorrect and reiterates that the NOTAM (Notice to Airman) issued on May 6 remains valid until May 30. The concessionaire also informs us that operations at Porto Alegre Airport remain suspended indefinitely. At the moment, we have no estimate of the damage caused by the flood. After the waters recede, we will be able to assess in detail the impacts on the airport infrastructure.

It is worth mentioning that we are working to make commercial flights (for passengers and cargo) viable, on a smaller scale, from the Canoas Air Base. At the moment, Fraport Brasil has been authorized to operate five flights a day.
