How does lost and found work at the airport?

Fraport Brasil, the administrator of Porto Alegre Airport, has an exclusive system for registering and controlling lost and found items at the Passenger Terminal. All objects found at the Terminal are registered in this system.

In 2022, 2,657 items were registered, including: 1,728 documents, 607 electronic devices, and 579 bags/backpacks. 1,312 items were returned to their owners, documents and electronics being the most claimed items.

What happens with unclaimed items?

Unclaimed items are kept for 60 days. If they are not claimed after that period, they are donated or disposed of according to their characteristics. All items must be collected in person. To have someone else collect your item for you, you must follow the process described in our Lost and Found page.

For more information, you can visit our office located on the second level of the Terminal across from the escalator from Monday to Friday (except holidays), from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., or contact us at: achadoseperdidospoa@fraport-brasil.com.
