How the airport's Lost and Found works

Check out the text of the news article below

Fraport Brasil, manager of Porto Alegre Airport, has an exclusive system for recording and controlling lost items in the Passenger Terminal. All objects found in the Terminal are registered in this system.

In 2022, 2,657 items were recorded. Among these, the main ones are: 1,728 documents, 607 electronics and 579 bags/backpacks. 1,312 items were returned, the most sought after being documents and electronics.

What happens to registered items that are not returned?

The items are stored for 60 days and, if there is no demand after this period, they will be donated or disposed of according to their characteristics. Returns can only be made in person and can be picked up by third parties if they follow the procedure described on the Lost and Found page.

If you have any questions or require further information, you can contact the in-person service located on Level 2 of the airport, opposite the escalator, from Monday to Friday (except public holidays), from 8am to 5pm, or by e-mail: achadoseperdidospoa@fraport-brasil.com.
